George,
I am glad I am not the only one out there who likes the shut off valve idea. It's been around for a long long time. It is a WHOLE LOT easier than looping the hoses and much easier on the heater core connections.

Any of you guys got a drawing or something you could email and/or post here? It sounds like a really easy fix. Easy being relative to fixing other things on a Vette!

The low speed blower is always running bringing hot air into the cabin. You can shut it off and still have the mediun and high speeds. Under the hood on the right side of the firewall is the heater/AC box. In the top of the box is an electrical connector with 5 wires in it. Take a small screw driver and probe the slot with the dark brown wire in it, this will release that wire and shut off the low speed blower. Tape the wire back out of the way.

Chris,
Great post ! If those pictures won't help everyone out, then there is no help for them.
Chuck,
If the valves are installed, is there still a need to disconnect the low-speed blower? I kinda remember that it is running all the time for some type of safety thing. Like the PVC valve but in this case it is for Positive Cockpit Ventilation

Chris you should work for GM. Come up with all those high tech names for things.
I would think any air forced into the cabin of our beloved C3s would be warm. Chuck

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
Hey Guys:
You want to talk about HOT! Try the Woodward Cruise up here in Michigan one time. Taking a half hour to travel 1/2 mile in upper 80 degree weather gets mighty hot, let me tell you. I just did it this weekend.
My problem is on the way home from it I discovered something I'm not sure any of you have noticed. See, I was running all day with the windows down, and the T-tops on (didn't want to fry my skin off!). But, I noticed on the way home as I was toolin' down the highway that with the windows down the hot air from the engine seemed to be sucked into the cab through the windows! When I rolled the windows up the heat became bearable. I'm talking probably a 20 - 30 degree difference!
Anyone encountered this before?
Know how to fix it, or should I assume I'm talking about the same problem?
I love my Corvette,
Mark Romanowski
P.S. - Can anyone help me with picture signatures on these emails. I haven't the foggiest idea how to get a picture of my Vette (taken yesterday) out to you guys. Thanks in advance.

I downloaded a picture, now does it come up when I post? I'm assuming that since now I have and tag line for the file that it does and even though Adam says to use to Preview to check how it will come out, no picture comes up in the preview, only the tag line so I'm assuming I've done it right.
Here goes! Hope you all enjoy.
