Are you trying to get the key cylinder out?
If so, then you're almost there! Take the three screws out of the t-signal switch, remove the "Hazard" flasher knob with a small screwdriver, and unscrew the t-signal handle.
Then, you can wiggle the t-signal switch up a bit at a time, until you can see the key cylinder hump. There will be a plastic piece there, with two brass contacts, and a small screw holding it.. That is the "Key In Ign." buzzer switch. Remove the screw, and you can pull it out, but be very careful, as it will be tight, and they can break easily. Then, you will notice a small little "window" in the column housing there by the inner end of the key cylinder, with a tab sticking up thru it. This is the cylinder lock tab. With the key in the "Run" position, push down on the tab with a small pocket screwdriver, or similar tool, and pull out on the cylinder.

Hope this makes sense...

If you have a new key cylinder, you can look at it, and see the "tab" I speak of.Adams' Apple2007-06-08 19:55:34
