I have new carpet for my 82. I would like some input as to the question do I need to invest an any kind of insulation and what is a good deal? |headscratch|

i installed insulation, and would recommend it. My big block puts out quite a lot of heat and it helped a lot. It will also reduce road noise considerably. I got my double sided aluminum insulation from summitracing, i used 2 rolls and it was 27 a roll. I'd definitely look into it.

I put the precut set in mine but it's a lot cheaper if you cut it yourself. Highly recommend doing it.

no problem, it's TRU-BLIP12406, type it into the search at the top of the website, it'll take you right to it. I'd buy some 3-M adhesive to install it, takes a couple bottles. And make sure it's the right shape before you spray the adhesive on!! But definitely 3-M, worked great and support minnesotan products!!
