Has anyone used spray dye on their seatbelts???? I've had great luck on the vinyl pieces, but wonder if anyone had any suggestions about using it on the belts....Looking for any other options too..... Thanks

I've used the dye on the interior, but it dries almost like paint. In my opinion, it would not do well on the fabric belts. You can always test it on the back side in a small area. I would think there has got to be a better solution. I would check with fabric people. Some of the dyes for fabrics may work. You would have to get rid of the current color somewhat (something like bleach, but probably not bleach as it may harm the material). I think they sell something to remove the color safely.

If you have any doubt about a product then i suggest you take a look at this product line. I have seen it and it is awesome. Saw it at a trade show and they had recolored a leather seat and it looked brand new, leather was soft and pliable. I asked about it wearing off and he asked if I had my car keys with me and if not he would give me his to try and scratch the color off or reveal the color below it. It was totally amazing, I could not get the color off.

Its called Molecubond and its made by bryndana international. www.bryndana.com.

The import guys are using it. I've been told you can find it at Pep Boys, but not in all the colors.

This stuff works and can be used on carpet and cloth, but to do it correctly according to the rep I talked to you have to dust if on lightly in multiple coats and it will take and convert the color. Also no bleaching is required to tone down the old color to get to a lighter color or vise versa.
