I took a bunch of pictures of Chucks carpet install, I plan to put it into a powerpoint with notes of what to do and what not to do's. It's not hard but very time consuming even for the pro it is an all day job.
One of the favorite lines told over and over by the MA crew was "Every C3 leaks, even the ones that don't leak...leak"
Chucks floor pans, once the old carpets were removed had an inch of water sitting in them, the installers said that was amazing because most have two inches!
If you would like a copy of the power point let me know. (PM me) I'll most likley burn it to a CD as the file will most likely be to large to e-mail. I'll start this soon as the mind is still fresh.
One thing really cool is the molds do not care what color or what style carpet they mold, if you want C6 plush just tell them the color. Once I saw all the possibilitys I'm going to put something different in my project car.

Ebo, I am ready to install carpet in the next few weeks. My carpet is the performance choice from MAM. I am very interested in the procedure because the rear pieces arent even close to the size needed. Will have to cut the 2 pieces over the fender wells down quite a bit. Put my name down for a cd and let me know how much you need to cover it.
Thanks
Rodney

Rod, I knew you were about set so I was taking lots more just for you. Do not cut anything as they should be pretty close to the original size!

Hey Ebo! Do I have to call your work and tell them to give you some time to get the carpet CD done. Just kidding, I still have lots to do before I am ready to get to that. Just wanted to check in and see how you are doing. Let me know when you need a "little" bit of money to cover your cd costs. Notice I said a "little" amount because this car is breaking me!doh

Heh Rod, well I may get some time finally. I need to talk to Indy (Dennis) I took some shots in "Raw" on the digital camera and have not figured out how to convert them to be able to put in powerpoint. I'll hopefully start something this week.

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.

Ebo Being ex Department of Navy staff civilian I have lots of experiance reducing PowerPoints.  I also own some software that normally reduces PowerPoint presentations by 80%-90% while still leaving them in PowerPoint format.   If you want email me your PowerPoint I will reduce it and send it back.  The first trick is put .jpg formated pictures in your PowerPoints.  You can use MicroSoft Paint to change the format of most picturs just by opening it in Paint and then SaveAs (select the format you want).  Unfortuneately I do not believe Paint will open a RAW picture.  I do not have any RAW pictures to try.  If you want I will find some free software that will convert the picture format for you.

Al, if you reduce the resolution a bit or compress the pix before adding them to the PP, that might help.

If you have Adobe licences, you could probably also turn your slides into PDFs and then merge all of those into one file.

A few ideas.  I'm interested in this once it's done too

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
