well i am going to start working on the inside, i do not want to put too much money in the inside it is a driver not a show car it is just a fun car to drive, it is a a orig 30 k car, the red code 752,the rear is fadedUnhappy   seat back is too faded,i have to install new seat covers due to rips,is it better to dye the rug or replace the rug? the trim is a bright red and the code says Med red no rips in the rug.has anyone dye the rug and likes the looks when done?

Depends on the actual condition of the carpet. If it is brittle, or rotty, it may not take a dye very well. If it is simply sun faded, it should dye fairly well. Getting it to match the other carpet might be tough, tho...
