Vette(s): 1977 L-82 originally white/buckskin interior. Currently undergoing a frame-off resto. and modifications.YEEHAW!!!
Glenn-no disrespect intended, I'm just trading friendly fire with a former local boy. I'm DAMN PROUD to have served in the Army, although, the Navy and Marines were serious considerations before I finally decided. At the time of my enlistment, I ruled out the Navy, because I really wanted to go jump school, or fly an F-14. Well, I know I didn't want to go career, and I don't believe I wanted to spend my life on a ship, so the Navy was scratched. At the time, it was easier to find a slot in Airborne School at Ft. Benning,Ga., so I went Army.
I'm proud to say, I scored high in all my tasks there, and never fell out of anything. Jump school was the highlight of my life, until my son was born 11 years later. I was lucky enough to have stayed in Ft.Benning for my enlistment, until I decided to come back home, and become a Police Officer. And here I am, still nursing my left knee from jumping out of perfectly good planes, and even jumping civilian in Davii's hometown of Hazleton with Don Kellner, who holds the Guiness world record for the most jumps. If I have to strap my ass to a man, at 10,000 feet, at 120 miles an hour, it would be him. Talk about a natural speed rush, I was riding the adrenaline for 2 days.

So please don't take offense at our musings, you know how us grunts like talking smack with jarheads, and we all have the same love, and pride for the greatest country in the world. I grew up an Army brat, mostly in Honolulu, Hawaii. And I loved my service, I am still serving, although in the civilian world as a Police Oficer, and I gotta tell you, it's the greatest job in the world. I'll always describe it as a front row seat to the greatest show on earth. And I get to be in street fights, and drive an awesome 1995 Caprice with the LT-1 package. Sometimes the wrong way down a one way street, at 60 MPH. AND get paid for it. Ask my why I love this country. Oh-bikini underwear, and Hooter Girls. Those are two more reasons. Take care, and, Davii, if the Corps ever fades for you, come back to the W-B, and I'll get you a slot with the street soldiers.

P.S. Glenn, sweet ride you have there. And thank you for serving.

Guys-
No problems, I just had to get in on the forum after the Navy comment. I have the greatest respect for anyone who serves. And I know that you both deserve that.

I'm glad that there are fellow service members, ex-service members and service member familys in the forum that I have something, other than my vette, in common with.
