The bag sounds like the best option. When I had my car in my separate garage, I had issues with mice. They get up under the dash and pull out insulation to build nests. I have found nests under the hood in the corner by the cowl behind the little vent screen and there would be mouse poop all over the engine and on the carpets inside. There is nothing more annoying than to be driving down the road and have a mouse drop out from under the dash and run across the floor. Usually when you start the car, they will drop out of the engine compartment and run off. I have used glue traps to catch them, putting them in several places inside the car. Since I have started parking in my attached garage, I have not had any problems. Good Luck.

True story........
I was having issues with mice as well. I used the old-fashioned snap trap baited with cheese. No matter where I placed it, every time I checked, the trap was set but the cheese was gone. After a few days, I ran out of cheese. Since it was wintertime and a storm was upon us, I couldn't get out to the store for cheese. So I looked in a food magazine and used a picture of cheese in the trap.
About 30 minutes later, I heard the trap snap closed. Guess what I caught?

You put water in the bucket about 1/3 full. a small bit of peanut butter on the edge and when the mouse gets to the end of the metal platform.... POW BABY!!!! he falls into the pit of shame. It automatically resets.
