I'm changing out the original Delco AM/FM/Cassette receiver and need some help. I'm not interested in CD or XM options, just the format that I now have. The kicker is that I'd rather not have to cut the bezel, as it was just recently replaced.
The only unit I've been able to find as a direct-fit so far is the Sanyo MAR-B1021. Does anyone out there have any experience with this particular unit? Any other options out there? |headscratch| |headscratch|

Vette(s): 1982 Collector Edition #3413
Have you tried Kenwood, Pioneer, KHE, Custom Auto Sound USA and Audiovox for your replacement? They are in Mid America, Corvette Central, Eckler's and our sponser Corvette America. All of these don't need for you to cut or replace your center cluster bezel.

Custom Autosound, has several models just for vettes, with all sorts of options. Check out their site. http://www.custom-autosound.com/

Hope this helps, and if you get time stop by the on line show and vote for milkman.

Thanks Glenn

I've read in other threads that custom autosound has extremely disappointing performance from their units. I've not had any personal experience with them, but the threads were posted by people who have. September or November. They're fairly old, but the same basic question.

Paragon75Ray makes an excellent point about CustomAutosound. I've also heard from others and read on many forums that their merchandise is JUNK... and expensive JUNK at that.
None of the majors(Pioneer, Kenwood, etc.) have fitment lists on their websites that I could find. This is the main reason that I need SPECIFIC model names and/or numbers. |toungecool|

Vette(s): 1981, Black/Black, Engine bumped to about 400HP.Ext/int mostly stock.
Try Crutchfield.com. Go through the pages to look for stereos that specifically fit your year of Vette. When I bought from them in December, they had at least one model that would fit without dash modification, in other words, shaft mount rather than DIN mount.

Crutchfield is where I found the Sanyo I'm inquiring about. I need to know if it's a solid, quality unit.
