So I decided to replace my beat up interior with new carpet and rear compartment unit. It didn’t come out too bad for an amateur. Any suggestions on cleaning the radio face and gauges?
Next up, upper control arm bushings and ball joints. Should be fun, right!!

Looks really good, Bob.
I did the control arm bushings myself in both cars. Not too bad a job. I had the radiator out in both cases which did make it easier to get at stuff.
Keep us posted.

Thanks Jeff, I'm waiting for warmer weather before trying the bushings. According to the weather channel, it looks like I'll be digging out the driveway for the next two weeks. Damm I can't wait to open my pool!

When I was repairing audio gear and guitar amps for a living, I used a 1/2 dilution of Windex and water. A q tip for the hard to get at corners works well. Sometimes the older plastics would react poorly with this solution so try it on a small area to start.

Looking good, Bob! Did you get the new taillights yet?

Barry

Looking good!

Be sure to watch those upper control arm shims when you do the bushings. Feel free to give me a call before you start. I can give you step by step.
