HI All
Has anyone ever replaced the (VEGA) steering wheel for their 76?.. I was wondering if there was a nicer wheel on the market or which one people are using.. My vette is all original and would hate to change it but I have never found a place to buy a new one.. (and NO I will not go the JY and look for a vega).. too many people embarrased I guess
..
DO they make a aftermarket wheel to fit a 76?
Thanks
Ken

I changed mine to a '75 & earlier steering wheel. You can change to a '77 or later, also. You just have to get all the steering wheel hardware: hub(for the year your changing to), bell cover, Lock ring, horn button & assembly, and of course, the steering wheel you have chosen. You can find all of these parts at a swap meet or one of our advertisers.

Vette(s): 1976 Brown with Buckskin Interior. I bought her on 9/15/03 and just received it on OCT 1st 2003!! It needs interior work, and some things under the hood, but I am so excited! Just waiting for Summer of 2004 to totally show it off.
I want to change mine to a '75 too. I hate the wheel I have. I wish someone whould post exactly what's needed and then tell me with pics how to change it - step by step.

Suzanne,
I think that the wheels are interchangible for the 68-75 and the 76 or 77. I don't believe there is an adapter, but you would have to check. I know that I've seen adapters in Echler's, but I thought they were for adapting tilt-tel.
