Oil Pressure Gauge

I noticed that my oil pressure gauge moves more than normal. All movement of the needle is near to 40 psi mark. Is it the gauge or the sending unit. Oil checked, looks good etc. Could it be the oil pump.

You neglected to mention the year of your car, later ones are an electrical gauge, earlier is mechanical.
There are also several previous posts on this subject.

The car is a 1977.....
Problem maybe that the gauge is not available if it is the gauge.....
