I'm getting closer to restoring the interior of my '82.  The color is slate gray (exterior is silver/white two-tone) and I wanted to do it over in Pace Car Silver -- then I realized how much stuff I would need to replace  Wacko  I plan on cleaning up a lot of the original panels; replacing the carpet and compartment; and installing new seats.  I thought I might get ONLY the seats in Pace Car Silver over all the original gray.  Thoughts?

It is your Vette so as it goes, do what makes you happy. My 2 cents would be, if you do only the seats in silver it might not look right unless you have the seats done two tone silver and gray.

I think the silver would look awsome, but would also be very very expensive to replace everything in there.  The silver items like armrests, pillar covers, carpet, and anything else are not higher just because they are silver, they cost the same as any other color, but they will rack up $$$'s fast.  Just the piece between the T-Tops where the overhead light is runs like $129.

How about the dies that they sell, anyone ever used this stuff?  I haven't, that maybe an option.  Actually I've always thought Black carpeting with silver seats would look cool.  Good luck with whatever you do choose Thumbs%20Up

I've got the 78SA with black interior. I put in the brush alumn dash kit down the center and put in the silver pace car arm rest on the black door panel  and silver floor and cargo mats. The contrast looks really good. Just my thoughts.

Mid America has intruduced some custom seats, panels, etc available to buy from their cataloge...and good dyes and adhesive promoter (primer)applied properly will work too. But carpet dyes leave the carpet bristle and hard...don't recomend on carpet

Vette(s): White '79 Corvette. It's a driver.
I agree with Aaron on the 2 Tone seats; Silver & Gray. Throw in some matching 2 Tone door panels too.
The 2 Tone theme is already alive and well on your Vette with the (Classy-IMHO) 2 Tone paint.

Good luck with this and let us know what you go with.
