Yesterday I released the parking brake and the button you push in went flying... Is there a spring that broke?

I've never seen a parking brake handle dis-assembled, but from what I've seen of them the plastic button itself probably broke. This allowed the spring to go flying. Long story short-I think you will have to replace the handle assembly.

I found the spring. Now all I have to do is reassemble the lever and button.. Mark hate to see ya go...
