Installing a power seat from an 82 in an 80 and can't get the controls to fit
. Has anyone done this or have pictures of an 82 install so I can figure out what I'm doing wrong? Appreciate all the help I can get.

What isn't fitting, the switch itself or the plastic bezel over the switch. I think I have some pics at home but will have to check later this evening when I get off work.
I may be wrong, but isn't the floor pan different on 82s to aloow for the switches?

Yes the floor pans are different and i have changed mine out already. What is not fitting is the switch between the seat and the frame. I see the flat where it mounts on the outside front of the bucket. but where it is there is no way the seat could slide back without jamming the control against the frame. I am wondering if there is a spacer between the motor frame and the seat bucket that I am missing and pictures would be wonderful.
Been working in Trinidad for 2 1/2 years and just transfered back so I am really wanting to finish this and take her for a long ride.

Just a thought, but since I have a 79 I'll let the 82 guys handle this! Good luck!

Guy appreciate the PDF and photos. It made it real easy for me. Sorry it took so long to get back to you I work on a ship and we were at sea for a while. Thanks again. Jim
