Is that with the door closed?!?! Shheeesh louise! That's a pretty big gap. I t looks like you have the wrong pinswitch in that location. The front switch is longer than the one that goes back by the rear of the door. You should have two long, and two shorter pinswitches, assuming your '69 had the ones at the rear of the door for the alarm.
