Has any one had their radio just cut out, then come back on?I have checked the ground connections and they are ok.Next I plan to pull the radio and see what type of wiring job is hidden back thereShocked. This is one of the little things that I want to fix,the folks next to me at the stop lights are not aused with my singingLOL.But seriuosly I wanted to pull the gauge cover to check the gas gauge anyway. Also dose any know what color the hot wire is for the cigerrette lighter.

Hi Rick, The hot wire for the cig lighter is ORANGE. The lighter circuit is constant power, even with key off.     Is that the orginal radio that is cutting out? The power wire to the factory radio is YELLOW. Ground wire is BLACK. I hope that this helps!

The radio has two, and sometimes three separate components(IF it is the original Delco unit). You have the head unit in the dash, and then you'll have a receiver/amp mounted on the firewall up under the dash on the pass side. Your problem is most likely in the receiver/amp, but it never hurts to start with the basics, like the connections on the rear of the head unit in the dash.
