My 1980 corvette is in dire need of a new radio/stereo. Is there a better brand or type of radio to get? Has anyone gotten a radio that they like a lot? Any suggestions?

Jim,
In my opinion, go with Alpine. They have a great reputation and the sound quality is super. Bear in mind, no matter how good a radio is, it's only as good as the speakers.
If you're looking to change speakers, consider Infinity, they're just right for the Alpine power output.
Good luck !

I agree...go with Alpine. Dollar for dollar, you won't do better. I've put Alpine stereos in two cars and bought a car with Alpine as original equipment and have never been unhappy with any.
