I had a great experience with Red Line Gauge of Humbolt, Tennessee today.
Situation is this: installing a new Keisler 5 speed in the 74. That required a new speedo cable, which was provided in the kit. Took the dash apart to get to the speedo cable and decided to have the odometer repaired as well as my clock. Sent Red Line an email yesterday to see if I could bring him the two instruments this morning for repair. Humbolt, TN is about 100 miles from where I live but it is 40 miles the other direction to get to the UPS shipping point. Well, John wrote back yesterday (Sunday) and told me to bring them so I did. What I did not know and did not expect is that he would fix them on the spot while I waited. Amazing! Nobody does that. I only told him that I was bringing a speedo and a clock for repair; he had all of the parts needed to ccompletely rebuild both on his workbench waiting for me to arrive. Roger won't do that. Obviously it took a lot longer to go the 100 miles each way but it was a great day for a motorcycle ride and both instruments are fixed at a reasonable price.
Bottom line: send your instruments to John at Red Line and he will do you right. This is not my first experience with John but it is the first time I have been to his shop. He can fix your instruments and in a hurry. His website is www.redlineg.com and his email is redlinec@bellsouth.net.

We have used John for years, and have never been disappointed. He is a wealth of knowledge, and a good guy. We have sent him entire dash assemblies, and they come back looking like new.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

Thanks for the advice. I may need some guage work soon and will strongly consider using him
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

A good gauge guy can make a big difference and all his stuff will look better than the old stuff that still works - eventually, he'll get em all !!
