Has anyone purchashed replacement 80/20  carpet  and installed it? Who did you buy from and were you satisfied.  This is my next weeks project, getting ready for a trip across state. I am planning on installing reflectix first and then the new carpet with pad on top.

I bought mine directly from Auto Custom Carpet(ACC). They are who most mail-order suppliers get them from. The only problem is...you need to be a wholesale customer, with a tax ID #.
The full, original style set for my '74 was $124. It is perfect, imo.

If you're a member of the National Corvette Owners Association (NCOA) they have a good deal on carpeting.  I don't know who their supplier is (yet) but I doubt it would be anything other than a first class outfit.  When I'm ready to get a full set I will most likely get it through them.

Have heard that Wilcox also has good deals on carpet sets and I think their source is ACC.

I'm leaning more towards Wilcox or Doc Rebuild. As long as it is press molded and insulated I'm good. The heat in that car is  really getting to me here in the midwest.

I'm going to try the insulation first, then seal up the kick panel butterfly vents , and lastly put in a bypass on the upper heater hose to the heater core.

Here's a LINK to ACC, if you would like to check them out.
If you call and ask them, they will send you a catalog with samples. I'm pretty sure anyone can buy from them, but I took advantage of the wholesale pricing for mine!

I don't know that I'd do that.  If anything I'd try to figure out how to run some extra duct work to bring more outside air in through those.  Just a thought.

Vette(s): 1st vette, my dream car. 1978 coupe with T-tops silver with spoilers front and back
I ordered mine from Wilcox (best price) last Thursday and it came today direct shipped from ACC and in their box.  All the pieces were there and it looks to be right. I have not pulled the old carpet out yet to double check, car is still stored.   Wilcox was considerably less expensive that what ACC shows on their website.
