The antenna is not bad at all. As long as the muffler is not in the way. The only really difficult part is running the cable through the car. Time consuming.
I did mine a few years ago. I had to drop the muffler down to reach it. Then when you unscrew the base there ia a metal plate that will drop down with it. Then you have to hold everything back up while you screw the base back on. Diffinetly easier with some help. The wire goes thruogh a hole in the back and then runs down under teh drivers door sill, up the front pillar and across the lower I/P to the back of the radio.

The nut that holds the antenna on under the fender can be reached without too much difficulty, or removing or lowering the muffler just by using the correct size "Crow Foot" wrench on an extension.... not very hard to do at all...
Still need to call your wife out to the garage to unscrew the nut on top of the fender however.. My arm was about 2 feet to short to do that by myself..
I have no clue about running the wire all I needed to do was replace a broken antenna...

Sears, Autozone, Pepboys, and your local auto part stores
all have them....
Nothing but the "end" of a normal open wnd wrench BUT with a square hole to attach the thing to a ratchet .. or an extension....
These things come in extremely handy when you lack clearance ...

Thanks, I will have to get me a set of those. I don't need much of an excuse to buy more tools.
