I am about to install new seat belts that do not have electric connections for dash light or buzzer awarness.The connector is in the console,just sitting there and will not be plugged in to the new seat belts.Do I need to do anything thing to this connector to prevent a dash light coming on? Thanks for any help,

I looked at the wiring diagram, and it isn't very helpful. If the light is on, jumper across the connector. If it goes off, make a permanent jumper.

That would also be my suggestion...jumper the connectors on both seats. The light goes off when the belts are buckled, meaning the switch has closed inside, so...if you jumper the connectors, it would be the same as buckling the belts. 
And DON'T use the light/buzzer not working as an excuse to NOT wear your seatbelts...

Well that is not the chief excuse...
most of the time its just too darn uncomfertable!

now I am not advocating the non use of the but I will say it should be a matter of personal choice not a law that police are able to profit from. I have several instances in my own family where the seat belt nearly cost a life. My girlfriend of 8 years now was in a car accident where she was wearing the seat belt and it broke and she was ejected from the vehicle. She is now confined to a wheel chair. I also nearly lost my younger brother during an accident where we were rerended and the car caught fire. He too was wearing a seatbelt, this time it would not release and the belt had to be cut off. Suffered 3rd degree burns. I was not wearing one and had a black eye. We barly made it out of the vehicle before it exploded. I would like to interject that one was an older car and the other was brand new at the time. I do use seat belts but I dont like the ones in my vette.

Many years ago I had the unfortunate experience to see a C3 get hit in an intersecton. It was broadside front end to door drivers side. There was dust and pieces of fiberglass every where.
I know how large and ridgid our C3 frames are and when I fist got my vette some 27 years ago I always made sure I buckeled up when in that car way before it was law. My belts do not bother me, but no adjustment to moving my seat back more upright kills my neck, unless I lean way back and look like "Cheech" drybin my chebby mann.
Will maybe a 5 point may work better? Unless you still want kids

I wear them I just find them uncomfertable in the vette. Most of the newer cars are not too bad to wear its just the vette ones I dont like. They dont retract right and with the c5 seats are a little too tight Not much play for adjustment.
