I'm getting ready to redo my seats (1975). I bought seat heaters and I'm wondering how they get installed. Usually they just go on the foam under the covers, but my seats have these metal wires thar slip into sleaves on the covers that have clips that go through the foam to another wire under the foam. Do I just poke a hole in the heater to allow the clips to pass through them?

I don't recall any posts on this subject before. I would contact the seller or manufacturer for install instructions. Let us know how you make out.

I bought some seat heaters but haven't installed them yet. The ones i purchased do allow you to put holes in it as long as it does not disrupt the coil's electrical flow. Some use a coil wire, while others use a carbon fiber grid pattern. If you look on places like Summit racing, they have instructions for that product you can view which has a section on how it can be cut.
Hope this helps.
