Is there any way to adjust the recline angle on the driver's side seat?
perhaps some after market fix?
i feel like i'm laying down.
someone suggested a stack of washers under the back bolts holding the seat down, but that doesn't sound like the fix im looking for.
any ideas?
thanks

Nothing that I have seen but shims under the rear mounts will certainly change the angle.

A shim kit is really nothing more than washers. That's about all you can do. The seat rake is there to give some headroom in the car due to the low roofline. If you're as tall as I am (6'03"), you're really out of luck. When I had my '78, I discovered claustrophobia when driving with the tops on, and with the tops off, the top of my head stuck out of the roof.

That's exactly what GM wanted. The split back bucket seats are supposed to give the driver an "arms out" driving position.
To my knowledge, there is no shim kit for the split back seats.
