I am trying to take my seats out.However they are frozen in place. How do I get to those back bolts??? thanks

Work some penetrating oil into the seat tracks tonight. Then try to move them again in the morning.

PS - reach under the seat to feel the movement of the locking mechanism as you move the handle. This may be part of the problem.

Dave, do the back bolts even turn? There are weldnuts under the floorpan that the bolts go into. They have been known to break off and just spin. Grab with a pair of vicegrips. If not, try to get some penetrating oil up from below, also. Mike

Mike, the problem is that I can't get to the back bolts to even see if they turn. I can't get the passenger seat to even budge a little bit. It is frozen all the way back.

I tried WD 40 but access is limited and yes, John the seat adjuster doesn't seem to be attached...HMMM

There's NO adjuster on the seat? Can you reach back about midway on the track on the side that the adjuster knob should be on and feel the latch and spring? Maybe you can pull on the latch at the spring and dislodge it. Maybe clamp the trusty vicegrips under the seat onto the catch where the knob "bar" is supposed to be attached. Mike

The adjuster is there just doesn't seem to be attached...
Also difficult to get WD 40 in other than the very front of the track...

What part of the adjuster is there? The knob and bar going to the track? If it isn't attached to anything then try reaching under and feeling where it should attach. This is where you need to pull. Altho if it's stuck that bad probably why the knob bar is off? Mike

Dave, try this. Get a stout flat-blade screwdriver. Go under the seat with it and slide it along the side edge of the track until you come in contact with the back of the adjuster lock. Try to get between the lock and the track and get the seat lock to break loose (figuratively speaking, that is).

thanks guys...I'll try it. Mike, Yes it is just the knob and bar floating in the breeze so to speak...

if you have to, you can drill the bolts out from below and just replace them later..

you can use a drill to sink a hole from the bottom and use a right hand extractor to twist the bolt from the bottom side..
