I am trying to select new seats for my 1974. I really want to justify Corbeau a4 seats. There is a company selling a pair with brackets for $895 and free shipping. My question is are my stock brackets worth anything? There are some of them on eBay for $199, realistically what can I get? Any market for my seats? The are in fair condition. Is anyone using Corbeau seats? I Was watching for fiero seats but they are getting hard to find.
Thanks
Dennis

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

I recently installed C5 seats in my '74. I bought a pair of C3 seat tracks to put under the C5 seats so I could keep my original tracks on the original seats - that way, if/when I want to put the original seats back in, it's a quick change.
You ask about selling the tracks for your seats - what about the seats themselves? Not suggesting you sell those, but just wondering why you want to sell the tracks alone. If your replacement seats don't work out and you've sold your seat tracks, the original seats will be useless.
Not sure how much actual demand there is for tracks. It took me a while to find some at a reasonable price. I ended up not going through e-bay but used an aftermarket parts vendor. e-bay often has items for sale at high prices, but those items don't often have a lot (or any) sales. So you could try to sell them there, but you might not sell unless you drop your price to half of what others are offering.
Again, I kept my original seats (they're just sitting in my garage). I may never do anything with them, but I have them just in case. I won't be getting rid of them (or the tracks
).

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
I switched my stock seats in my 68,73 & 77 with fiero seats & covers from Mr Mike's in Fl. All you need is a simple bracket. They are much more comfortable the Corbeau seats & fit much better. I had 2 sets of corbeau seats in my 68 before I found out about this . Info can be found here.

Not sure about all Fiero seats, but I know some of them had speakers in the headrest. Will you have those in your re-done ones, and if so, are you planning on connecting them? Just curious about how those would work...

The seat cost is determined by what you pay for the used Fiero seats. also do you want vinyl or leather seats or will you supply your own. Mr Mike will explain all the pricing. It's cheapier the Cordoba seats. Weather they have speaker or not doesn't make any difference & you can hook them up or not.

MrMikes was more than helpful. He knows of a couple more sets of fiero seats but they are located in West palm Florida. Call Him for details. I'm removing the speakers and filling with spray foam, instructions on his website. I ordered the brackets as well. I chose leather so I. All seats, brackets, and covers are still cheaper than Corbeau seats with the 1/2 shave.
I watched for replacement late model corvette seats but prices are pretty high wi the "corvette" tax. I'm still installing carpet, pix to follow.
