I have a 1978 Aniversary, I picked up a pair of seats from a 1981 and was told they would bolt right in. There is around a 5 inch difference in length in the seat adjusters on the drivers side which is electric and I wonder if there is an extension piece or some mounting holes in the floor pan I am not seeing? Thanks

Steve, the driver side power electric seat was only available for the '81-'82 model years. Which means the driver side floorpan on the '81-'82's were much different to accommodate the power seat motors and tracks. Last I looked there were no aftermarket replacement floor pans for "power seat cars" available. I supposed you could search for a "power seat" floorpan cut out out of a donor car. Otherwise if you manage to figure out a way to bolt it in securely, I'm afraid the seat is going to sit up so high your head may be touching the t-top.

I think you can remove the electric seat part and use the seats without it.
I believe your correct rraider1.
I wasn't positive of his intentions of whether he's adding the power feature or not.

Thanks for the help, your right the drivers seat is quite a bit taller than the passenger side, I guess I am back to the drawing board. Maybe the seat adjuster from the old seat can replace the electric set up, I guess we will see.
Thanks Again!
