I have a 1975 Vette with a very soft floor area under the drivers seat. The fiberglass is a mess and looks like people pieced in stuff over the years. I need to know if this is something that could be fixed by me or should I have a good Corvette repair shop do it. THANKS!!!

If it appears that it has been "Bubba-ed" over the years, it might be best to have someone experienced in fiberglass work to fix it properly. You really don't wanna go Fred Flinstone-ing down the road un-expectedly!

Your car has a metal floor under the seats. Repro pans are about $275.00 per side, and require a minimal amount of skill and experience to install. They are partial pans which allow you to replace them on each side without tearing up the whole console area. They are intended to be welded in, but I bet you could use bonding adhesive and screws or rivets.
