Thanks Dave. Sorry about taking so long to reply.

Well we had a nice long drive that day. I was pretty warm out. The Dynamat Extreme did a nice job of dampening the "resonance" of the mufflers and road noise. We could actually talk to each other without yelling. And Michele's legs were cool. The dual cats run under her floorboard, and lots of heat used to come thru.

It's not Cadillac quiet, but a big improvement. Very expensive. I used all 36 sq.ft. and need more to line my door skins at a later date. I hope Hank has good results with his project.

Here's another kind of heat insulation on E-Bay. Sounds pretty good and not that expensive. Any one familiar with it? I'M ROASTING! That wonderful southern winter was just too short!

Well I installed "FATMAT" all over my floor under the carpet about two years ago. I triple layered it around the trans tunnle and drivers and passenger side floors. I only have a slight amount of heat coming up from the floor. its cheap enough to really layer it on. more you use the better. Its basically tarcovered with foil but it works. it will smell like a freshly paved road for a few days but it will go away.

Longhorn294, do you have a link to the ebay insulation?

Took the Vette out yesterday, the foot well reached 110.3 degrees!
Looking into the best fix for that inferno of a floorboard....

Pick up the latest issue of corvette fever, on page 84 there is an article about how heat enters the Heat-AC system through the right fender and plenum seam and how to fix it, it is also in a post started by me I believe in the Interior section under " answer cockpit heat" maybe a year ago.

Sorry Lowbrowser. I guess it would help to post the link. I need to get that new copy of Corvette Fever. Feels like I have the heater on full blast when moving down the road coming thru the a/c heater vents. Bypassing the heater has no effect. Good luck with yours. If anyone gets the CF article  to work for them, let us know. I just got home at 9 PM with the T-Tops off and the rear window out. 15 min later, I'm still hot from my knees to my toes.

Thanks for the link, it sounds good... hey, at this point I'll try
anything (going to mix products under the carpet if need be). Going to
get the Magazine and check out that angle too.
When I first bought the Vette, I drove it home and swore to my wife "the
heater is stuck on"!!! Little did I know....
And that was when it was COOL in Los Angeles. They said it would be a
triple digit summer, so the heat issue has become priority one. Great
thread, thanks to everyone who posted ideas. I too will follow up when I
finish my "project kill the leg numbing heat 'experiment"
