Want to change the speedometer to a 140 unit. Driving out here in the west, 85 just isn't going to cut it. Sending it out to Roger may mean not having one in the car until August.

Confused  Speedometer!  Where we live we just count the fence post that go by in 6 seconds and multiply by 60. It's not a good idea to take your eyes off the road to look at the gauges. Ouch To many fence posts.

You fergot the most important option, Dave....
#6: Buy a Corvette that already HAS the 140mph speedo.

My vote is #6....Thumbs Up

Rodger has a pretty good rep among the older Corvette community for doing good work. Even so, recalibrating your speedo and changing the faceplate might work right from the start, or it MAY need to be sent back for further fine-tuning....ya never know. If I had to make a choice for meself, I'd go with one from Rodger.

Or you could use a GPS unit, that will give you your speed. That's what I do.
If you want the 140 speedo, I would go with Roger.

Another option:
About 5 years ago I sent my speedometer to Bill Harrison for conversion and recalibration to 140 MPH.

He did a great job.

That Roger guy sure seems to want a lot just to get a clock running again.

Not sure wants he wants for refurbishing a clock, but he would do the speedometer for $95.  Lot's less than other restorers.

Hello All,  I have a '79 Vette speedometer in my'80 Vette and works great.I actually took it out a couple of years ago and sent it to Harrison to check out and to be sure it is accurate...I have had it service for more than 10 yrs. Again I got it out of a 1979 Corvette and reads 140 mph..
