I've have several, actually a lot, of screw holes stripped out in my dash and shift console, especially the ones holding the gauge cluster. Anyone have any good ideas on how to fix the holes?
I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

use #6 and #8 "j" and "u" clips where possible..
on the others.. tack a weld over the hole grind it down and tap it..
or use jb weld for the same things but you need to make sure you pancake the hole and dont grind it down
Hi,
I removed some of my interior pieces to re-dye them. When I put the interior back together, I replaced all of the "U" or "J" nuts. It seems that once you remove the screw from those nuts, they never hold tight again.
You can get the "U" nuts at auto body stores.
Just my 2 cents.
Regards,
Tom
