I've been shopping around for prices on black leather with dark red centers for my 79's seats.So far its from as high as $996 to around $400.But I havent actually seen any samples yet.Any suggestions who to talk to would be appreciated.Thanks...Wilcox on Ebay was on the lower end of the scale-I wonder how good their leather is? |headscratch|

I would take to a custom interior man. or perhaps a boat interior shop. (most boat jobs are custom)

there is a OLD man here thats been doing seats for boats and cars since the great flood that will make restoration quality seat covers from scratch. he does it fairly cheap.. you just cant get in any hurry whatsoever..

maybe there is someone like this in your area.

I would ask a couple of the more reputable body shops in your area if they know anyone who does this. if that fails.. call a couple of boat shops..

Sounds reasonable.The most expensive auto interior guys I talked to online were NW Automotive Interiors in Vancouver Canada.They say they use leather of much higher quality than whats in C3's origianally.I just dont think I need to spend $1000 for 2 buckets,do you? |confusing|

Mid America has them. 79-82. Expensive,$900 but already mounted on foam.

Hmmm...Must have missed that one! I'll check it out...still was hoping for a liitle less $...but I guess you get what ya pay for,hopefully.

Well,I tried using the -members search-feature the way you spelled it,and 2 other ways..."member not found" was the result.

Mid America sounds like a good deal at that price. I would suggest getting the whole set up mounted on new foam, etc. I received a second set from Corvette America, as they had to make up a complete mounted pair for my 79 to match the back with the seat seams at the inside bolsters. Corvette America did me right, and they called me to get it right. Willcox seats and most of their other products are drop shipped from Corvette America. Willcox is almost like an agent for other manufacturers. Make sure you get the guarantee that they will match the seams. A lot of guys are running around with replacement seats, where the seams do not match, and maybe they do not care. But if you are going to lay out almost $1K for seats, get it done right. For a custom order, expect to pay a significant amount up front. I would go with leather inserts and vinyl skirts like the originals to keep the skirts from getting scuffed up. Unless you are making some kind of trailer queen. Is this the only place you are going away from stock?
