Will it fit? Absolutely.
Will it work? No...unless you also install the wiring harness for it.

Thanks, did not think far enough ahead on that one. Just tring to keep interior looking nice. Should have bought tach drive i guess but was told that electric tach was better. What do you think?

I put a Crane XR-1 kit in my 73 so I could keep the tach drive.Very easy to install and no more points and condenser. Bought it at Summit Racing for $64.00.

Another option is the Pertronix Ignitor II Breakerless Ignition kit.  I have one in my 74 and it works great.  I got mine from Corvette Central for about $120.00.

When I bought my '69 a previous owner had replaced the original tach with a '75-'77 electric model.  You do not need to replace the harness.  It is a simple 3 wire hook-up:  coil, 12v, and ground.
