I've got this weird thing gonin' on.

After my car warms up (about 10 minutes) and I'm drivin' on the road I can hear a "Tic...Tic....Tic". It sounds like it's comin' from behind my Speedometer & Tach area.....or it could be on the outer firewall in the general area of the Speedometer & Tach. That's the best I can describe it.....has anyone experienced this weird phenomenon before or ring any bells??

Could be the speedo gettting ready to head south.
Could be the little mouse behind the dash sticking his paw into the works just to hear tic tic tic tic.........

Probably either the tach or speed-o cable. If so, they can be lubricated.
When the inner(drive) cable(s) get dry, they have a tendency to rub on the outer cable, producing any number of different noises.

I've had similar noises with caps/rings, too. Seen some lug nuts floating around in them!!
