Hi, having trouble with the two studs that stick down from the bottom of the center guage console. Seems like the center console is too thick which makes it hard to put the nuts on the studs. Any ideas what to do? Both of these items are new reproductions. Thanks, Joe

How does the stud length compared to the old ones?

Interesting, I just reinstalled my center gauge cluster a few days ago after some radio repair. Studs were plenty long, probably 1/2” stuck through the console to get the nuts started. Being reproductions possibilities are studs too short, console molded too thick, or a little of both. If you purchased them from the same supplier I’d go back to them for their input. I’d also ask if the studs could be replaced with longer ones. Are they just threaded in or are they molded into the cluster somehow ?? Good luck and let us know what you find.

checked it, it is 1/8 inch shorter.
that is the problem.
I am going to replace the studs with longer set screws.
Thanks

No, about the same as the original one. The studs were .125 shorter than the original ones. I took the studs out and replaced them with longer ones.
