Need help. How do I remove the T-Top center panels? I can't find any screws that holds it in. Does it just snap on, do I need to take out the dome light?

The cover for the "T" bar is held in three ways. The plastic header trim at the top of the windshield will have to be removed. You may have to remove the windshield pillar trim on each side in order to get the header trim off. Just be careful removing the pillar trim not to break it, its not difficult but takes a little twisting and pulling. You will then have to remove the "halo" panels which cover the top of the roof just over your head. I believe the seat belts run through the halo panel on your 78, they do on my 82. after the windshield header trim and halo panels are removed, the only thing that will be holding the "T" bar cover in place is the light socket. Remove the two screws from the light housing and work it back through the hole in the "T" bar and its out.

Thanks for the info. I'll take it easy with all the plastic trim pieces don't want to break anything.

if memory serves me correctly if you have any moulding in back above the window you might have to take that off too. my 75 rear window is different and mine had two screws under that panel too.
