I've been driving my "new" Vette for awhile now and have an issue that I don't know how to resolve.  I'm "vertically challenged"... 5' 1 1/2" to be exact.  In the driver's seat of the Vette, I feel like a little kid trying to peer over the wheel.  I confiscated my husbands two firmest pillows (one for under the butt and one for behind the back), and was sittin just right!  Obviously, this is not a permanent solution (although I did get away with it for a few nights!)  Besides, it looks kinda tacky!  Have any of you or your spouses had similar issues?  What did you do??? New seats, adult "booster" seats?   Something else?

I know of people that have modified the driver seat bracket to raise the entire seat. Bur then you might have a problem with the pedals. You can add blocks to the pedals, but if someone else is also going to drive her, that may be a problem.
The best solution might be a custom made seat cover, just for you.
You could have the crossed flags embroidered on the seat back.

Man, is there something you can take to make you taller? LOL  I'm 5' 9" and I have always thought I was too tall for a woman.

Hey, Karen...you DO know the seats are adjustable, don't you?
All kiddin aside, there are adjustments you can make to the seat backs to allow them to sit more upright. Also, a tilt/telescopic steering column, if you don't have one, would help.
You can raise the seat tracks off of the floor a little bit safely, maybe an inch, max. That would require some spacers to be made for that purpose. This might make it hard for anyone else to drive it but you...(wink-wink, nudge-nudge)

Try a medical supply store. They have foam back cushions and other cushions that could be placed in the seat to give you additional height. They would be portable too.

Corvettes and women are the same...You want to make love to them but they keep breaking down.

Or just get rid of the ones you have and put in the '80-'82' seats.   They are power 6 way.  Lamp

When I bought my '78, my sister and I went to Indianapolis to pick it up and drive it home to Maryland. My sister is 5"02" (I'm 6'03")...when she got in she couldn't see over the dash! I had to do all the driving home.

One thing I found out and may well be the case with your car, is after all these years, the foam padding in the seat has compressed and deteriorated. Having new foam installed makes a lot of difference and restores the seat to its original height. Now I make sure I drive the car with the tops off as my head is above the roof level and I have to crouch to drive it with the tops on.

If there was something I could take, I would!!!  Another couple of inches would be great!  But, being short does have some advantages...I never complain about leg room on airplanes!

Thanks for all the tips!  I think for now I'll look for some sort of removable cushions that don't look too tacky.  Those 80-82 6 way power seats sound kinda nice!  Bet they're spendy!!!  I don't want to make any drastic changes to the car (raising the seat or extending break pedals).  I do think, as Gunslinger said, just redoing the foam padding would make a big difference!  I'll find a temporary fix then research other options further...

Thanks!!!
