Make sure you get good quality weather stripping, clean off all the old glue, and follow the directions on the adhesive you're going to use. I used 3M.
Try laying it out first before you glue, you don't want to glue the strips without making sure they're in the right position.
Good luck

warbird is right on what he tells you. only other thing is to be patient and relax
. take your time and don't make yourself too nervous.

thanks eddie. i have never done this before, but i watched my late husband do it and he made it look so easy. i guess there is a first time for
everything.

in some cases the weatherstripping all comes from the same
manufacturer. i ordered a set of fans for my 75 from mid america and
the fans were from dewitts. funny thing is mid america sold them
cheaper than dewitts. thats a good way to look at it. be confident in
yourself and you should have no problems. in some kits they send out
detailed instructions that are easy to follow. good luck

Got mine from wilcox and used all the advice I got from here as well as this article http://www.corvettemagazine.com/2006/january/weatherstrip/weatherstrip.asp
I used goof-off to remove all the old glue probably works slower than other removers but I didn't loose any paint in the process

Karen... there is a new weather strip out, sold by Rik's corvettes, it is latax that is almost the same as OE orginally on the car. It is much softer though more costly too. I had a set from ZIP that I never install, took a gamble and order a latax set from Rik's so much better, I sold my other set to install the new latax. Suppose to seal better and less adjustment from the hard stiff weather strip.
