I'll add it to my file...   I'm sure sooner or later it'll come in handy!

Thanks
Steve

Did mine not too long ago.  Good article.

Just a few points :
-on the pictures, they don't use gloves.  If you want to have some skin left on your fingers when using 3M adhesive remover; use thick rubber gloves.

-use adhesive remover in a WELL ventilated area. I even used a mask and I was really dizzy when done.

-for one of the pillars and the t-top, they say tuck it in slowly.  I found that the adhesive was really quick to stick.  For the t-top, I had to "speed-tuck-it" before the bond was too strong.

-it took mine more than a few hours to "settle" once I shut the doors and install the t-top.  It took almost a week.

Since this project is definately in my future, I read it very carefully.  I noticed that they used a Zip weatherstriping kit.  What are your thoughts on Zip products?  I have heard that the weatherstrip is poorly made, doesn't fit right and causes air and water leaks due to over-sized pieces.  Any of you have any first hand experience or want to recomend a different supplier?  I will be tackling this job when I paint my car later this year.

Sorry - don't know much about ZIP, but I remember someone using these guys with sucess.

I'm not sure where any of them get their  product, however - I have  heard the best stuff comes from GM.

good luck -
