When I ordered my weatherstip kit, I neglected to get the stickum to hold them in place. What is best adhesive to use? I would like to get this done this weekend, If I have enough time.
I have some of the yellow stuff left over from when I put in the carpet. would this work ok ?

3M weatherstrip adhesive is yellow. Maybe you can get it in black.
Either way you need to remove the squeeze out so the color really isn't
important. The key is to avoid putting big gobs of adhesive on the
mating surfaces.

Back from Napa, and I have found time today to get one T-top done on the passenger side. I got the yellow, the guy behind the counter said that the black wouldn't stick to well for some reason, even offered to let me have the rest of a tube he had purchased. Gotta admit, the yellow sticks pretty good. Now, to figure out how to get the rest. Oh yea, one other thing, I don't think that the weatherstripping had ever been changed, the screws are a bear to get out.
Good job on the T-top. I did everything but
the doors back in the fall. A-pillars and sail panels are a piece of
cake. Make sure when you do the A-pillars that the new pillar strips
butt up tight to the t-top pieces. The weatherstripping will shrink a
little so you don't want to get gaps in a few months. Good luck on the
rest of the job.

Sunday afternoon, passenger side done! Then I was tired of working on the thing, I needed a test drive. So I popped the tops, Asked the wife if she wanted to go for a cruise around the lake. ( Of course she said yes). Then every back road I could find that would keep me within site of the water, we were off!
One great afternoon. Now, I have to do the Drivers side. That oughta be A lot easier.
Oh yea, One note. When I shut the passenger door with the window up and the tops on, It seals fine. But when The door is shut and run the window up, it doesn't go completely up. Something Else for me to look at before I start the other side.
