Vette(s): 1975 Stingray Nomad Wagon, with Daytona front, custom hood scoop, dual side vents; 420HP 350; Doug Nash 5 speed; 1980 rear end W/4:11 gears; Cherry Red metallic paint.
Just got my first Vette, a rare Ecklers Nomad Wagon on a '75. The car is still a project because the interior is completely missing. My dash is nothing but a firewall with wires from it.
I am going to purchase a parts car for the interior so i can bolt/unbolt the pieces and get started driving it while finishing the restoration on it.
My question for you: If you could completely redo your Corvette interior, what would you change? I am comtemplating a digital dash, but otherwise have no ideas on its short comings. Any suggestions would be appericated! Thanks one and all for the valueable information provided, you have guided me along the way. (newbie) Dave. |thumb|

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
Considering it's already highly customized, the correct answer is... whatever you like! What anybody else likes does not matter a bit. Look everywhere you can think of, and do what makes you happy.

I agree with the others...whatever you like is how you do it! Personally, I'm not fond of digital guages, but don't let my feelings toward them stop you. I've been to two car shows the last two days and have seen several street rods with custom dashes with digital guages...they were impressive looking.

I also agree about getting better seats for your interior. There's lots on the market as well as going with C4 or C5 seats. Find a good upholstery shop and talk it over with them. They could have some excellent ideas for your interior as well as sources you might not think about.

a H.U.D. like they've got in the C5s....I love that thing. Think I have a website for an aftermarket company...I'll poke around if you're interested.

However, like everone else said...ITS YOURS! Mine would get a HUD no questions, but would yours? I don't know |cheers|

PICTURES!!! |cheers|

Ok, the seats are taken care of, my neighbor owed me a big favor, and since he workes in an upholstery shop, i will get some redone with him. Now, i will find just the "right" seats for my behind.
I do have one question, from a Newbie to the Vette world { |bouncy| } : What is an HUD? thanks everybody, i look forward to being able to answer questions for people sometime in the future |cheers| (i am sure going to learn enough about interiors!) dave.

Welcome aboard, Dave.

HUD is a laser-imaging or reflection-imaging system that puts a see-through image of your gauges on the windshield in front of the driver. Same stuff that's been used in fighter aircraft for decades. I've only seen it in person once . . . but it was COOL! |cool| |cool| |cool|

Thank you!!!! I found where to get the HUD, and am now in the process of getting it. My poor wife doesnt even know that shes buying it for me for our anniversery (She'll still get the 100 red roses), but aww, she can afford it. From what i saw, those things are amazing! dave. |toungecool|
