Hey ken. Glad to see your back and hope they get your health issues figured out. If ya ever want to get together or just shoot the bull give me a call or email. As you can see I live right down the street from ya here in Dorr. Now if I could only answer your window problem we'd be all set. I'm sure someone here can.

Vette(s): My 1974 Vette sold last August 2014. I am still willing to show up to events and local gatherings if anything happening No new vette yet.

is the weather stripping new? It might have to take shape to your car. thats what mine had to do.

Or it is your sprocket gears in your doors that are beginning to strip which you will need to disassemble the doors to fix. had to do it to mine. Motors worked great but would only push the window to a point and then they would stop, soon enough i could hear the sprocket gear stripped in the door.

Personally, i like it sometimes when the cars don't match up perfectly. that way i can throw flyers for car shows and events in peoples cars even if they are locked up in a parking lot or event.

Assembly Instruction Manual.  AIMs are internal GM publications used by assembly line workers when they assembled the cars.  While not How-Tos, AIMs are invaluable for Corvette owners who do most of their own work.  All the aftermarket providers carry the AIMs and you can get them off ebay.  The best deals include a three ring binder to put it in.  Pick your favorite vendor and order an AIM.  Get a reproduction owner's manual while you're at it, if you don't have an original.

Hey All, I need some advice on power window problems on my 1974 Stingray. The passenger side didn't work since purchase, when I hit the button, the lights dim, but no up or down.  As of yesterday the drivers window which used to go up and down strongly, stops about 1/2 inch of the bottom and won't go back up any higher!! Is it a track, motor, or electrical issue?  Should both motors be replaced to eliminate any further problems?
