I need a used, any condition AC compressor from '78-'82 Vette. I need it to check how it will fit with new pulley for serpentine belt set up if it works then I'll pick up a rebuilt one. I only need to borrow it, will return it if you want it back.
Thanks,
Dave

I assume you want the radial style. We have one that is used and complete. You are welcome to borrow it if you simply pay shipping.
Call, E-mail, or PM me to arrange shipping.

Hey Dave
Marion here, when you decide on a a/c comp. you might look at
Tuff Stuff performance.com they may have what you want
in a "short a/c comp 6 rib. Check out there site, they warrant it
for one year. Don't under any chance buy anything from MARCH
PERFORMANCE. I have had three that didn't work.

I might still have one. The R4 Compressor was avalable with a Serpinteen Belt OEM. I'm curious about what Type of Serpintine Belt Setup Your looking at. I have used the Vintage Air in my 80' and it works very well. One of the only Complex Systems that has Bolted right in with no Mod's. The biggest Concern is the Clearance between the Bottom Pully and the Frame. I thought I was going to have to Clearnce the Frame a Bit but I didn't. However Reading a Vette Magizine they put it in a 67 and had to. With There System You end up Using a Samsong ?
Compressor that is Smaller and Weighs about 1/3 as much. The Kit dosn't come with the Power Steering Pump You will buy it from Speed Direct. I'm using it with the Steeroids Rack and its Over Power'd a bit Its one Finger Steering like a Lincoln not a Sports Car.
