Took the headers and full dual exhaust off my 8K mile black79. Simply returning it to stock condition. Maybe 500 miles over MANY years, very seldom drove this Vette. Sounds great and boy was changing spark plugs a pleasure, 15 minute job!

Not chopped up, everything came right apart at the slip joints. Excellent condition, a quick dusting with my sandblaster and a coat of hi-temp paint on the pipes. Headers are untouched but I plan on respraying them, too.

Headers are "Blackjack" alumicoat(I believe that's Dynamax now)and fit perfectly.
Pipes were 74 Vette spec duals with the header to crossmember pipes modified for the headers. Any flat spots in the pic aren't dents, they're made that way for additional underbody clearance. Mufflers are 'turbo" from Mid America. Sound like original mufflers but everythings a bit louder with the headers.

These were on my 4 speed but I see no reason they won't work on an automatic, at least a 350. Not sure about the 400 trans. Included is a 4speed crossmember hanger.
I'd like to get $300 for it all, and if you're near Chicago I'd be more than happy to help with installation(at my place).

Hey Mike,

What dimension are the pipes?  When I replaced the exhaust I upgraded to 2 1/2 inch pipes.  I kept the stock 2 inch exhaust manifolds so the down pipes do the transition.  The mufflers I used have a 2 1/2 inch inlet and 2 inch outlet for the stock exhaust bezels.

I know you'd probably like to sell the complete package but I'm curious what pieces I could use on "The Toy".

Hey Jim. Pipes are 2 1/2". Mufflers too, with 2" outlets.
Mama's bugging me to recoup some of my expenses for the 79's transformation to 'original'.
Sold a bunch of chrome stuff, still got the exhaust and my big Moroso oil pan to sell.
I hope to break near even.

Actually, I wouldn't mind keeping the mufflers for spares but figured I'd try to move the whole system first.
