Is there any difference in length of the steering columns in a 1969 standard column and a later 1979 steering column with tilt and tele?

I don't know for certain one way or another, but the conversion is definately do-able, ....and kinda nice if you ask me. The '79 is "telescoping". I have to drive with mine all the way out so I can reach it comfortably (must be cause of my long legs).

My problem is just the opposite. my legs reach but my belly rubs the steering wheel.

Vanz, (763-780-9080) our steering column expert, says they are the same.
