Vette(s): 1982 Collector Edition, color is silver/beige.
Fellow CE owners.
As a new member I thought I would give a shout to say hi. I have a quesion for you all. When I purchased my CE from a private owner I was told approximately 600+ "canadian version" of the 82 CE was built. Are there any other canadian version CE's out there? Anyway I plan to get mine out of the garage this weekend to enjoy some bonus "indian summer" weather in Michigan before I put her to bed for the winter. Have a safe Thanksgiving holiday to all.

Welcome!!! Well it IS possible, but I never heard of a Canadian CE. Not to say that it didn't happen. If you have any questions, feel free to ask |biggrin|

Well, it is possible, but I have not heard this before. I had an 81 Z-28, and when I was involved with Camaro clubs, I learned that there was a Canadian version of the car. In Canada, one of these could be ordered with a manual tranny - only available in US as automatic that year.

Hi everyone! Guess what I have a Candaian car as well! It was orginally sold out of Vancouver BC. I do not know of any differences other than the price on the window sticker was ~$32,000 Canadian of course! It does create a coversation point at cruise ins when people look at the window sticker. The car has remained in the NW (no sun)as I am near Portland, so the original paint is in great shape.

My '78 Silver Anniversary was originally a Canadian car...it came with Canadian title and customs papers from the importing dealer I purchased it from. The only two differences I could find on the car was a metric speedometer and no AIR pump, which may simply have been removed by a prior owner. It soon got a mph speedometer after I purchased it.

If there are any other differences that export cars got, I'm not aware of it.

I suspect the speedo is the only difference, but my brother had a 67 Pontiac from Canada, it was just a touch different. The starter that fit it was from a different engine in the US than the one he had. There were other minor differences, but everything was stock Pontiac once we found out the combination.
