Cool Jim thanks Thumbs%20Up Although if someone's luck they can find the Franklin Mint Corvettes a bit cheaper on eBay. Some people like eBay some don't, I personally love looking for diecast Corvettes on there.

That is a sweet looking model, but a little too high priced for me.

I got three of these off ebay and the most I paid for one was $43.00. The cheapest was $22.76!! The only thing I don't like is that the t-tops don't come off

The tops DO come off on the Franklin Mint cars...they also BREAK real easily too, and they(FM) will NOT replace them...this is why I quit buying anything from FM.
Danbury Mint cars are 100 times more detailed, and better quality too. They do cost more, but they're definitely worth it if you are a serious collector, or just want the best.

Wait a minute!! The 78 FM PC used the same body as the 78 SA both of these do not have removeable t-tops. I'm sure of it. Now unless they changed them, but I don't think so. All the other FM Vettes have removable tops but not the 78's. Besides the PC tops aren't susposed to be black like the model. Somebodys been smokin' those left handers again!!!! You are right about one thing DM is far better than FM. Usually for the same price.Winkzgator2008-05-01 13:06:26

Could be...I know the '82 FM I have has removable tops...they're both cracked, too. This is the car I had the fight with FM about...they wouldn't replace the tops, even tho they were both cracked when I took it out of the box.
Mark(cilrah) has the FM Pacer...do yer tops come off, Mark
