I just left yet another forum because they enjoy trashing custom cars, vettes in this case,
When I joined it I was told it was not allowed, I guess their rules changed.

Anyway, I want to find out while this forum is just getting started will that be allowed here?
If so it's no place for me,
Thanks, T.

I would say the answer is NO.

I personally own a CUSTOM vette and no one has trashed me or ''her'' .

of course everyone is enititled to their opinion but ..''mud slinging'' will not be tolerated.

This topic came up on a different thread. It was pretty much agreed that there is more than one type of car owner out there. The purist, the modifyer, the mildly modified, the whatever it takes to keep the car on the road and the way I want it there, etc, etc, Bottom line is pretty much this, it's you car ( or to be politically correct your vehicle ) do with it as you wish. Just enjoy it ! And by the way, welcome to this forum. Hopefully you will have found a home here and it is the last one you will need to try out.
What do I like in a car? Well, personally I like to keep them pretty much stock looking but want them to run like someone is chasing them with a hot poker ! |laugh|

I personally don't think trashing custom jobs should be tolerated. Everyone has their own taste in cars, so you should be able to do whatever you want to it. Welcome to C3VR.

I posted that right after I a pic of a greenwood daytona was posted and serveral people were saying how buttfugly it was , this came just days after the mako pic you see here was trashed.
So I asked if the negativity could stop, and I was flamed that since the car was butt fugly it was anyones choice to say so.
Anyway that brings me down, I come to forums for Camaraderie and fun not for negativity life is hard enough without an escape like a car forum being a downer so forgive me if I sounded pretty snide.
Cheers, T. |cheers|

I see by your picture you have great taste in cars |biggrin|

I can guess the site you are talking about. I got a similar reaction. Maybe we can just call it the SuperSnob Registry. |laugh|

To each, his own. That's what makes the world interesting. I can appreciate something about just about any car but personally I like something that looks different or at least not common. I really have the highest respect for someone that completely restores a car. I just want one that looks fairly nice and is fun to drive.

Welcome to the site! |hippie|

That is a nice looking Vette. I like the sharp front end. And the side pipes are great. I want a set of those when I drop my 454 in. |cheers|

Good looking car!!! And to think my wife thinks the nose on our car is hard to judge. She'd be "trunking" cars all day with yours |laugh|

The car in my picture is from the Motion Maco flyer,
I used it since I haven't scanned any of my work in progress pictures.
I have the same front clip as in the flyer pic and am looking for the same rear clip, if anyone runs into a Maco or other custom rear clip/bumper please drop me a line. In the meantime I am doing custom "stuff" to the rear and running the Cragar wrap around rear window louvers.
I also have the same ZL-1 rear flares and turbo wing like on LakotasRoses cool car.
In the works are a big block but I'm not 100% sure it will be Chevy.
That will come as cash flow improves.
The nose on this clip in very peaked, maybe 8" or 10" over stock, I have this radar thing that's made for backing up, it tells you how close to an object you are, I plan to mount it in the front to avoid nose jobs.
Side pipes, wake the dead loud, leg searing things, and on this project I just gotta have them.
|biggrin|
Here's a couple of poor quality pics of the last custom I built., It was a daily driver which I plan my current project to be.
