Since we have a couple of "wagon" owners here now, and some of ya'll ain't never heered of, or seed one, I thought it would be kewl to show what they looked like. They are purdy neat, even now. They were a big thang back in the day(70's). Everyone was trying to be different, and this conversion was that, if nothing else!

This was just the first site I found...there are others...we are NOT alone...

Vette(s): 1975 Stingray Nomad Wagon, with Daytona front, custom hood scoop, dual side vents; 420HP 350; Doug Nash 5 speed; 1980 rear end W/4:11 gears; Cherry Red metallic paint.
There are actually 3 versions of the Vette wagon that existed. First two were by Ecklers, one the style that i got, with the windows, known as a "nomad". and one without the windows, a "Panel". There are rumors of how many were actually sold, but from the past 4 years, i have not seen more than 20 total of the two combined. Ecklers itself doesnt have a record as to how many kits it sold.
Then Greenwood came out with a version, where as ecklers blended in well with the Crome bumper years, Greenwood blended well into the 78-79 years (see the above linc). There were less than a dozen of those created.
I wish that the above linc was still working. i have tried a couple of times to do something on it, with no effect.
If at all possible, i will have mine at Tahoe this year. I currently have the dash and interior out, but have all the running gear fixed.

Yeah, that site has been pretty much dormant for a while. At least it is still there, so we can look!

Corvettes at Carlisle 2004 featured the 1954 Corvettes and I believe there was a Nomad there, but I neglected to take a picture.
But one of Chip's favorites was this one, I believe a 1975 Greenwood. As I recall, they built a total of 12.

This year I saw this one for sale.

And I also saw this one, based on a C5.
All very

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
