my son just started college at lincoln tech in indy and drives through effingham every Monday and Friday I will have him stop on his way through and see if there any new ones, if there is I will post them here.

That would be great Kelly of course Scott and I would both love to know before you post but your asking your son to take the time from his drive to do this is commendable and I thank you for that.

Well bad news on the motel the only one new this year is the "fairfield
inn" and it is already booked and has a waiting list. I called the
chamber of commerce in Effingham and the pretty much said the same
thing.

Anyone looking for a hotel ? Try calling MId-Am, They booked all of the rooms at the new Fairfield way before it was finished. The only way to get one if still available is to call them direct. good luck!

Well registered today and planning to do the walk. Time off has been at a premium lately, but my boss said to use personnal time. You don't need to ask in advance-just take it when you want it. Donna and I are planning to attend. Gotta find a room somewhere - any ideas?

Try the Super8 in Mattoon. I stayed there last year. It's an ok place and about a 30 minute drive north of Effingham.
